I’m Bailey Becker, a full-stack Software Engineer.

Small-town girl, born and raised in East Texas. I attended The University of Texas at Austin, where I studied Electrical and Computer Engineering and was a Texas Longhorns Cheerleader! I fell in love with code along the way.

I absolutely love the mix of right brain and left brain thinking… solving a puzzle and designing something beautiful in the same breath! I obsess over database design and user experience equally.

I started BB Dev Studio to do that work at a scale where it still feels like craft!

Engineering Manager & Tech Lead
Joined a high-growth speech-to-text startup as an entry-level engineer and grew into Engineering Manager and Tech Lead in under five years.
- Launched Rev’s first true Enterprise (B2B) experience, transforming a B2C account model into a permissions-aware, hierarchical B2B data layer.
Atlassian · 2022 – 2026
Senior Software Engineer
Joined a publicly traded enterprise software company powering 300,000+ organizations worldwide. Led the rebuild of Jira Align’s legacy Roadmap page, replacing hundreds of lines of untested monolithic SQL with a clean, composable architecture built on Atlassian’s modern frontend platform.
- >95% performance improvement, de-escalating churn risk for key enterprise clients.
- Established a scalable design pattern for sorting, filtering, and grouping data-rich tables that became a velocity multiplier for the broader Roadmap development.

Sometimes I forget Bailey is an engineer because she so effectively wears many hats. She understands the customer like a product manager, pitches ideas like a designer, and keeps everyone in line like a program leader, yet never steps on anyone's toes and still maintains her technical leadership.

Bailey has been the linchpin of the Beta Roadmaps project. Her uncanny ability to synthesize complex information into digestible formats, her foresight in opening early PRs with example code, and her technical acumen bridging engineering and management ensured all parties stayed informed and the team kept momentum.

Babysitters from your circle, in the order you trust.

A smart booking app that turns your trusted babysitter network into a structured system. One request cascades through your regulars first, then mutual connections, then community, replacing group-chat scramble with relationship-based matching.

The problem: Booking a sitter meant texting eight numbers in a very particular order, then a group chat full of people I had never met. It ate half a day, and I still owed fourteen people a "sorry, already found someone" text.
What I built: You post one request, and SitterCircle does the asking around: your regulars get first dibs, then friends of friends, then your community groups. But wait, there's more... Sitters can post their available hours and get booked directly, turning the traditional marketplace upside down!
